More about Carol Soudah:
As a TLAMS writer, my job is to do the dirty work. Well, "dirty" is relative. I spend evenings at various L.A. venues listening to local artists pour their hearts out. I look for quality in the songwriting and musicianship, and the impact artists have on their fans. While I may not be an expert (who is?) , I know what I like! I'm a huge music fan, and always turn to the fan in me when I write.
Every great artist came from a scene, somewhere. In Los Angeles, that scene has found a home at TheLAMusicScene.com. Keep your eyes (and ears) peeled.
"music is the purest of expressions. through words, sounds, movements we bare our souls, our vulnerabilities. only music can speak truths about god, life, humanity, and death, and remind us we are small and insignificant, empowering and resilient, all- knowing and oblivious."

More about Seth Schwartz:
Music and writing have always been passions of mine. I started writing poetry, melodies on the guitar and eventually my first songs. Writing is a creative outlet, and thelamusicscene.com gives me a place to share and express my thoughts on the thing I love most, music! I frequently attend live shows, up to 5 nights a week, all sorts of music at all kinds of clubs.
"With so many people in the world, with so many differences it's often overlooked that we share one thing above all else in common, music. We all listen to music, and while our styles differ our resolve to seek it out and have it around us remains consistent." ~ s. (to quote myself)

More about the Amish Gangster:
I was born and raised in San Diego where I studied music at San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts and Percussion Performance at San Diego State University. I moved up to L.A. shortly after and began hustling for gigs and working crappy jobs. Then one magical day, I saw Justin, Chris, Joey, Lance, and J.C. on TRL and was hooked. Now I'm *NSync's biggest fan.

More about Lisa Del Hoyo:
Music, in my life, is more than just an expression of thoughts and emotions - it is an extension of the human experience. Much like reading a book or letting your imagination run wild, it lifts your spirits, your anger and tension into the sky and leaves you with joy, and hopefully, a new perspective. How else can you travel the universe and transcend reality with just a few minutes of sound?
Listening to music and being a part of the scene here in LA are what make life vital and interesting to me. With my writing, I hope to give the reader a glimpse of what I observe/experience and leave them with some tidbit they could use.

More about Brooke Garten:
Originally from Middle of Nowhere, California, Brooke Garten ran away to Los Angeles while the other 54 people that she graduated high school with stayed behind to smoke weed and make bad porno. Once in the big city, she tried her hand at everything from promoting jazz concerts to managing punk bands while attending the University of Southern California. She graduated in 2001 with a B.S. in Music Industry (B.S.- how appropriate), and enough debt to necessitate becoming a lawyer. Brooke currently attends Loyola Law School and stays close to the ghetto she's learned to love so well.

More about Nicole Janson:
I've lived in various sections of LA for the last two years, but love the "eastside" best. I love to write music reviews, and see good bands of the non-Britney/Backstreet breed make it... Since graduating from UCSB, I've worked a plethora of day-jobs including waitress/caterer, nanny, and now substitute teacher. My ever-evasive "dream career" is singer/songwriter either of my own project, or as part of a band. I play various venues with my current backing band, around & out of town, and have a website, www.nicolejanson.com. My biggest goals for 2001 include producing an entire 10-song record, going on a small tour, and discovering the true meaning of life.
