The Atmosphere:
Molly's is a small place with a lot of character and great music. You won't find anything else like it in LA. It's relaxing enough to read a book (they even have a book case full of them) or play a game of darts while spending time with friends and seeing great bands.
The bar runs almost the entire length of the right side of the venue, with tables and chairs running along the left side. The narrow passageway that leads down the center of the club (towards the stage) will be a ten-minute trek on a busy night.
Off in the back to the far right you'll find a jukebox to throw your quarters into when the band's done with their set. No band? Break out the dartboard, grab your Guinness and chat with your friends, there's never really nothing to do. Molly's also has a small kitchen where you can get things like burgers, fries, chips and salsa prepared, for those late night munchies.
The club is known for its "neighborhood," friendly atmosphere, where there are always people around drinking, laughing and just having a good time. If you frequent the club, you'll get to know the great group of people who run it, along with seeing some of the best bands LA has to offer.
What you should know:
"Over the last few years I've seen some of the best bands in LA performing at Molly Malones. Some of my favorites have been Maxfield Rabbit, That Fat Frog, and the band Talk Back. I even had my first Guinness at Molly's and I've been going back ever since." Seth S.
Parking Situation:
Parking is available behind the bar, but if it's a busy night you'll have to park on the street. The neighborhood is just enough off the beaten track not to offer special parking lots or valets. Keep an eye on parking signs and meters. The neighborhood is safe and friendly, but very dark and poorly lit.

The Music:
Molly's has a reputation for booking very good bands, offering live music five to seven days a week. Monday nights are reserved for open mic and on Friday and Saturday nights you can find anything from alternative rock to upbeat funk, reggae or blues. You might even find a folk singer/songwriter or Irish music, but there's nothing too loud or heavy.
